Staff and Contact

The Parish Council employs 2 people, both on a part time basis.

The Parish Clerk is the primary adviser to the council and provides administrative support for the Council’s activities. The Clerk’s primary responsibility is to advise the Council on whether its decisions are lawful and to recommend ways in which these decisions can be implemented. To help with this, the Clerk can be asked to research topics of concern to the Council and to provide unbiased information to help the Council make appropriate choices. The duties described above cover the Clerk’s statutory role of ‘Proper Officer’.  In financial matters, the Proper Officer is known as ‘Responsible Financial Officer’.
The Council as a body is responsible for making all decisions and the Clerk is answerable to the Council as a body. The Parish Clerk is also the first point of contact for all council matters.

The Parish Warden is responsible for maintaining and tidying the cemetery plus other areas. He works under the instruction of the Parish Clerk.

The primary point of contact for all Parish Council matters is the Parish Clerk. Please note that the Parish Clerk does not deal with the following matters: village calendar and events, village activities, clubs and groups. These are all dealt with in the Village Website
